As part of an Earthquake Notification Service that reports U.S. earthquakes within two minutes and world earthquakes within 30, the U.S. Geological Survey offers recent-quake RSS feeds.

"The USGS earthquake website receives over one million hits every day," according to a press release. "Information about the latest earthquakes occurring around the world is posted within two minutes for U.S. earthquakes and within 30 minutes for earthquakes outside the U.S."

The survey's RSS feeds are valid RSS and make use of namespaces for geographic position, Dublin Core and FeedBurner.
